So much of what is happening today in Melbourne is a result of what happened six months ago, which is
born of an incident a year ago, two years, ten, fifty, all the way back to when the first convicts
landed. Old grudges and ancient enmities surface time and again in this city, dating back to the
rat infested, gin soaked alleys of London two hundred years before.
Our Primary and Secondary School Australian History lessons that teach us our history is little
more than the gold rush and Gallipoli are the social elite's tools of obfuscation.
This project was inspired by the White Hat Murder Mystery Tours (which I can not stress enough how
important it is for all of you to experience) and John Birmingham's incredible book Leviathan.
These two sources put the pieces of our past together so we can see how all these things are connected.
History never goes away.
-Robert Reid
Collaborate: to co-operate as a traitor, esp. with an enemy occupying one's own country.
Enemy: Lara invades Melbourne from Northern N.S.W.
Traitors: Rob and Anniene allowing paper to overtake their lives.
The Allies: Cast.
The Troops: Crew.
Two completely different companies merging in the most fun project.
-Lara Cruickshank.
Thank you's go to the cast and crew (especially the crew) who have all worked so hard.
Jim Cathcart, Vanessa Pigram, Ian Pidd and Sue Giles, Padi, Sayra for helping me with the research,
Bevan, Lara and Krinkl and Ange for stuffing a whole lotta envelopes.
